It serves as the first point of contact to visitors in person and via telephone. This position deals with high level communications with university staff, students, faculty, alumni, community members and external stakeholders.

This position plays an integral role in the customer service and administrative role of the Office of External Affairs/General Counsel. It serves as the first point of contact to visitors in person and via telephone. This position deals with high level communications with university staff, students, faculty, alumni, community members and external stakeholders.
Customer Service
- Strong customer service experience and ability to professionally coordinate with multiple stakeholders including staff, faculty, students, alumni, etc.
- Provide general administrative support as needed to staff in the Office of External Affairs, Office of General Counsel, Government Relations, and Workforce Development & Economic Development.
- Serves as liaison and budget manager for Office of External Affairs, General Counsel, Government Relations, Workforce Development as needed. This includes budget preparation and maintenance of state, Foundation and MURC accounts. Create and process encumbrances, requisitions, and purchasing card purchases.
- Responsible for all purchasing in the above areas as assigned. This includes researching items, and obtaining price quotes, entering information into Banner, maintaining state purchase card information and reconciling purchases.
- Duties include managing appointments using electronic calendar, setting up meetings and reserving facilities and refreshments if needed. Also responsible for arranging travel plans, itineraries & agendas.
- Compose and prepare written documents and correspondence as needed, including memos, letters, presentations, and spreadsheets.
- Assist Associate General counsel with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests.
- Prepare documents for General Counsel for various meetings.
- Perform other office administration duties as required to support the mission and function of the area of responsibility.
