The Department of Nursing invites applications for a clinical-track position at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank beginning January 2025.Teaching responsibilities will include classroom and clinical instruction in the BA/BS to BSN program in the areas of fundamental, medical-surgical, and/or critical care nursing. The candidate will also be responsible for teaching campus skills labs and simulation labs. Other responsibilities include academic advising of students, participation in ongoing curriculum development and evaluation, professional development, and service to the school of nursing, college of the health of professions, and University through committee work and service. The department also seeks candidates who will contribute to the University’s general education curriculum and its emphasis on using high-impact teaching practices, particularly those affiliated with one (or more) of the institution’s pedagogical initiatives (e.g., Community-based Learning, Critical Thinking, First Year Seminar, Writing Across Curriculum, etc.). Additionally, the ideal candidate will contribute to the College’s support of interdisciplinary programs of study. This position would be at the South Charleston Campus.Candidates interviewing on campus submit unofficial transcripts (undergraduate and graduate) directly to the chair of the search committee.
