The Center for African American Students, under the auspices of the Office of Intercultural Affairs, is a historically significant program that serves as a catalyst for involving and supporting African and African-American student’s academic and personal success towards college graduation and an accomplished professional career in his/her chosen field of study.Graduate Students are responsible to assist in planning, organizing, managing data, and conducting a large number of programs each academic year. GA’s must also be prepared to expected to provide: Individualized student mentoring and support; student problem solving: info. and referral; academic guidance; walk-in reception to students, parents, visitors, faculty, and others; and the facilitation of spontaneous group discussions on various topics/current issues
