The Senior Associate Dean for Informatics and Population Analytics will lead the strategic planning and implementation efforts to research and develop informatics and data analytics initiatives in support of the clinical, research, and educational missions of the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in bioinformatics and healthcare informatics, data management, and analysis, along with a strong understanding of advanced computational models. Key Responsibilities:Develop and oversee the informatics and analytics research infrastructure to support biomedical research, and health professions education.Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to integrate informatics and analytics into clinical, operational and educational workflows.Design and implement systems for collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing large datasets. Foster interdisciplinary research in informatics and analytics, securing funding and resources to support innovation and growth.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies regarding data security and patient privacy.Mentor faculty, staff, and students in informatics and analytics, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Represent the academic health network at national and international forums, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies.
