The Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Coach is responsible for working closely with the LevelUp program and TAY Team under the leadership of the TAY Project Director to empower young adults through coaching, training, and peer support services. The Coach serves as a subject matter expert in peer models and youth empowerment, providing guidance and support to transitional age youth (TAY) and the Peer Guides. The position involves collaborating with community resource partners, conducting assessments, and providing mentorship, while also overseeing administrative tasks to ensure program success.Key Responsibilities:• Youth Empowerment & Coaching: Provide individualized coaching, training, and mentorship to TAY participants, offering encouragement, guidance, and support in their personal and professional development. Actively listen to and ask supportive questions to help youth identify resources and strategies for success.• Peer Guide Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support the Peer Guide, ensuring they understand their role, responsibilities, and provide ongoing coaching to help them grow in their peer leadership capacity.• Community Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with community resource partners that serve the TAY population. Attend meetings, participate in events, and volunteer as needed to build partnerships and support the youth in the program.• Needs Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Assess the individual needs of program participants using tools such as the Casey Assessment and Game Plan. Regularly monitor and evaluate their progress, providing feedback and adjusting strategies to ensure their growth and success.• Administrative Support: Manage administrative responsibilities, including creating working sheets, referral forms, and updating required reporting. Ensure that the website and social media platforms are kept up to date with relevant information and resources.• Program Promotion & Technical Assistance: Promote inclusive positive youth development within communities and schools. Provide technical assistance and training on peer-led, youth empowerment, and community-based programs.• Collaboration with Local Organizations: Collaborate with local youth-serving organizations to build a network of resources and support for TAY participants. Represent the program in meetings, training sessions, and other key events as an active team member.• Mentorship Opportunities: Facilitate and provide mentorship opportunities for Peer Guides, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to succeed in their roles.• Travel & Event Participation: Willingness to travel as required for program-related activities, including attending meetings, conferences, and events.• Other duties as assigned.This position is based out of Clay County, WV
