We are seeking an eager, poised, assertive, and ambitious leader with the passion to lead and develop employees on our 1st shift Production Operation. The ideal candidate must have the ability to retain, develop, inspire and empower employees to drive sustainable continuous improvement.
Brief Description: The Working Group Lead position acts as assistant to the supervisor. They are responsible for facilitating operations across all of the cells at Industrial Drive
- Evaluates each cell and signs off on all quality check sheets
- Trains new and temporary employees in the operation and set up of specific cells within their department
- Assists in staffing cells and in conducting pre-shift huddles
- Performs set up, operation, and changeover functions within a department for 4 hours during their shift
- Maintains a clean work area
- Actively ensures that all safety requirements and procedures are met at all times
- Other duties and project work as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Production experience is preferred
- Must be able to run all cells within a specific department or area
- Must be able to communicate effectively in training other employees
- Must be able to use relevant computer software within their department such as FutureCell, Outlook, Axapta, etc.
- Ability to calculate, reason, problem solve, and read and write in English
- Frequent standing, walking, gripping, and reaching as well as occasional bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulder level
- Lifting up to 40 lbs without assistance
- Ability to work overtime, as needed
