JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Manager-Hospital coordinates, directs and manages the twenty-four hour delivery of optimal patient care within an assigned area of a Marshfield Clinic Health Systems hospital. This role is responsible for the recruitment and retention of the frontline patient care staff and for guiding and leading our nurses to provide the best patient care services in accordance with the organizational goals and initiatives. This role interactively works with physician and allied provider staff on their unit(s) with the goal of best patient outcomes and patient satisfaction.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required : Associate degree in nursing with contingency of successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in nursing within three years of hire.
Preferred / Optional : Bachelor’s degree in nursing at time of hire.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required : Three years’ experience in acute care or related healthcare experience and one year experience in leadership role.
Preferred : Three years’ leadership experience.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required : Current Applicable State Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Preferred / Optional : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
