Job Description
This role is part of our pharmacy team that supports pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications. Responsibilities vary based on the location of practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Assist pharmacists with daily tasks, including preparation and dispensing of pharmaceutical drugs.
- Follow standards, state, and federal laws, as well as department policies and procedures.
Minimum Required:
- No minimum required for Pharmacy Technician I.
- One year experience in pharmacy or completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program for Pharmacy Technician II.
- Three years experience in pharmacy or completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program and two years experience for Pharmacy Technician III.
- Five years experience in pharmacy or completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program and four years experience for Pharmacy Technician Senior.

- The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s) are required:
- Pharmacy Technician registration or licensure OR an application for pharmacy technician registration or licensure will be accepted if it is in pending status by the first date of employment. Registration/licensure must be obtained within six months and must remain in good standing and current for all positions.
- For Pharmacy Technician III & Senior, one of the following certifications is also required: Pharmacy Technician Certification via PTCB or NHA, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification awarded by the American Association or Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant registration from the American Medical Technologist (AMT), Registered Medical Assistant registry from the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License.
