A Diagnostic Imaging Specialist performs a variety of technical procedures using ionizing radiation, requiring independent judgment and initiative to produce diagnostic computed tomography images. Working under the direction of a Radiologist, this professional performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Key responsibilities include room setup, patient positioning, patient screening, image acquisition, and quality control.
The ideal candidate must acquire and maintain specialized technical skills and medical knowledge to render quality patient care, ensuring the safety of patients, visitors, and medical staff in the CT area while in their care.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Certificate, Military, or Higher Learning Radiography program
- Valid Radiographer licensure in an applicable state
- ARRT Certification in Radiology with eligibility for CT Certification
