Job Description : JOB SUMMARY
The Vascular Sonographer functions as a member of the healthcare team by providing patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions. The individual functions as a delegated agent under the supervision of the physician and completes procedures in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health Systems' (MCHS) mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required : One of the Following :
- Associate degree or technical diploma in a related health care program.
- One year of experience as a vascular, cardiac or general sonographer.
Preferred / Optional : Associate degree in ultrasonography, registered in cardiac and vascular sonography thru ARDMS or CCI and experience in cardiac and vascular ultrasound.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required : Patient care experience.
Preferred / Optional : One year experience as a vascular sonographer.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
