What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assembler position at Marshfield Furniture?
Marshfield Furniture is a custom upholstery furniture manufacturer. We have openings for 1st shift positions normal hours are from M-F 6am to 2:30pm. Currently we are only working between approximately 30 hours per week. Tuesday-Friday and Mondays as needed.
All shifts start at 6am and end when production goals are met for the day but no later than 2:30pm. Earn up to a $1,000.00 sign-on bonus!

New employees are eligible for 40 hours of vacation time after 90 days of employment and can join our team knowing they won't have to work nights!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cut and apply foam, padding or upholstered fabric to various parts of all furniture frame types.
- Staple fabric, cardboard, or padding to each frame type.
- Observe and correct alignment of fabric design and materials on frame types.
- Cut fabric and cushions during assembly process.
- Strip down and re-upholster furniture, using supplied and own-made templates
- Apply templates to furniture piece for the preparation of decorative nail installation.
- Use hand and air compressor tools including staple guns, nail guns, and mallets.
- Observe and correct alignment of nail or wood trim on multiple frame types.
- Trim fabric during the assembly process to meet final quality and production specifications.
- Read specification tickets for each piece.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Interact in a positive manner with other team members.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using hand tools, air staple guns
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and working with air tools
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Basic reading and writing comprehension.
- Hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Must complete a designated length of service to receive the sign-on bonus.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test with negative results.
