Job Summary
We are seeking an ONSITE, skilled and detail-oriented Pattern Maker and Fabric Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing ERP systems and CAD or CAD-like programs, with the ability to create precise patterns for various types of furniture production. This role requires proficiency in editing patterns within Gerber AccuMark software, as well as experience with a manufacturing environment. The Pattern Maker will play a crucial role in ensuring that designs are accurately cut for the production process.
As a fabric cutter you will be part of the production team filling in for vacation and sick relief when other in the department are absent. You will assist in cutter fabric for the use of production, conduct inventory counts, and distribute job information to department for daily production. This person will act as the liaison between the machine operators, fabric handler, and supervisor.
Duties
- Edit and develop patterns based on design specifications and technical sketches.
- Collaborate with designers and production teams to refine patterns and address any construction issues.
- Make necessary adjustments to patterns based on feedback.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.
- Work with managers to coordinate team members for daily production needs.
- Work with other team members and members of management to complete monthly inventory.
- Communicate with other team members on the daily production needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Pleasant and positive attitude while working with others.
- Proven experience in pattern making, or a related field.
- Proficiency in drafting patterns using both manual methods and computer-aided design (CAD) software is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
