Diabetes Educator / Clinical Dietitian (Hybrid Option in Weston, WI)
Full-time, Monday - Friday, Day shift
Hybrid Option at the Weston Center
2 days one week, 3 days the next week
Marshfield Medical Center - Weston offers a wide range of advanced care services to individuals in Central Wisconsin including primary care, urgent care, lab services, radiology, pharmacy, family care, cancer care, pediatrics, and more.
The Diabetes Educator / Clinical Dietitian is part of an interdisciplinary team that provides diabetes education and care for diverse populations. The primary responsibility of the individual is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of diabetes patients by providing individual, group and follow up instruction in healthcare aspects of diabetes management. The Diabetes Educator / Clinical Dietitian uses the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) and standards of care to provide care management for patients with diabetes under the supervision and protocol of the organization's physicians within the scope of practice of the Registered Dietitian certification.
Requires :
Bachelor's degree in human nutrition, nutrition education, food and nutrition, dietetics food systems management, or related field.
Demonstrated proficiency with calculations using fractions, decimals and percentages.
State of Wisconsin Certified Dietitian certification.
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential awarded by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification awarded by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE) within 24 months of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Preferred / Optional :
Master's degree in human nutrition, nutrition education, food and nutrition, dietetics, food systems management, or related field
Three years of experience in clinical nutrition
Experience in diabetes self-management education and care
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification awarded by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE) at time of hire
