Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare and possess the skills necessary to provide exceptional care for pets in a kennel or veterinary setting. This role involves ensuring the health and well-being of animals, maintaining a clean environment, and delivering excellent customer service to pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets.
- Maintain cleanliness in kennels and animal living areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, employing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required for animal care and facility maintenance.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Experience with kennel operations or animal restraint techniques is a plus.
