We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mentor to join our team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized mentoring plans tailored to the needs of each youth.
- Provide support in areas such as education, personal development, and social skills.
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment for youth to express themselves openly.
- Educate youth on conflict management techniques and coping strategies.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and social workers to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback on the youth's development.
- Engage in activities that promote teamwork, self-esteem, and positive behavior.
- Advocate for the welfare of children by identifying potential risks or issues they may face.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or child welfare is preferred.
- Background in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
- Experience in social work or behavioral health settings is a plus.
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to educate and inspire youth.
- Proven conflict management abilities to effectively handle challenging situations.
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to their growth and development.
