As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of a team supporting on premise and hosted environments that delivers services to users and their clients.
This position will assist in designing, architecture, installation and maintenance of the infrastructure and environments including but not limited to the following: web, ftp and MS-SQL servers, Exchange and cloud based service.
This position assists with designing, implementation, monitoring and performing optimization of all infrastructure components consisting of on-premise, cloud and virtual
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Assist team to build, deploy and administer Windows 2012/2016/2019 servers, IIS configuration including setting up web/ftp sites, user access management and App pool management.
• Support the management, maintenance and architecture of storage, provides disk space management and LUN assignment.
• Assist the implementation and support of virtual environments using VMware and Cloud Services (Amazon/AWS and Azure)
• Support configuration maintenance which includes: identifying, testing and applying all pertinent service packs and fixes, and applying security patches based on vendor notifications.
• Maintain backup/restore and disaster recovery solutions. Create and maintain disaster recovery procedures and conduct tests. Implement replication technologies for seamless failover.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree plus at least two years of related experience; or at least four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology or related technical discipline is highly desired.
• Microsoft, VMware or Cisco certifications is a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, IIS, Clustering, and Exchange.
• Advance Knowledge of VMware virtualization platform.
• Advance understanding of storage technologies including SAN, iSCSI, LUNs.
• Extensive experience with cloud technologies; Compute, storage, load balancer, traffic gateways and security.
• Solid understanding of SSL certificate managements and encryption.
• Experience with traffic management such as load balancers and web filtering appliances.
• Solid understanding of SSL certificate managements and encryption.
• Experience with using utilities for Backup, System Patching and monitoring tools.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Routing, and Server Security).
