Martha & Mary is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization committed to providing compassionate care and services to seniors in our assisted living community. We are looking for a dedicated Caregiver to join our team, bringing clinical expertise and a heart for service to enhance the well-being of our residents.

As a Caregiver in our Assisted Living facility, you will collaborate closely with our Director of Nursing, Licensed Nurses, Med Techs, and other key staff to ensure the highest standards of resident care. This role provides direct care to assisted living and/or memory care residents, primarily for their activities of daily living but also some medical care.

Starting wage: $19.39/hr. up to $22.70/hr. depending credentials and related experience as determined by Supervisor and HR

Shift: 7:00AM-3:00PM. Weekend availability required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents in and out of bed and into wheelchair using transfer belts and/or another Caregiver as required
• Assist residents in bathing, dressing or undressing.
• Assist residents in using bathroom facilities and peri-care.
• Take vital signs of residents, (i.e., temperature, blood pressure) and record information.
• Assist residents to dining area for meals and to activities on and off the Unit.
• May assist in feeding of residents and documenting intake of nourishment.
• Caregiver required to strip bedding and replace with clean linens.
• Assist in personal grooming of residents, (i.e., brush hair, trim finger and toenails).
• If resident is bedridden due to illness, Caregiver may be required to turn resident intermittently.
• Document information regarding the resident’s health, I & O and any change of medical condition.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One year experience in healthcare environment preferred.
• Certification: Must hold a current Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and independent judgment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities, and handle multiple responsibilities under deadlines.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Proficiency in using medical devices and various computer software programs.
• Flexible, reliable attendance with a willingness to cover additional hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Paid Time Off (PTO) is accrued at varying rates depending on length of employment. Accrual rates begin at 5.32 hours per month based on a 40-hour workweek. These accruals include the required sick leave per Washington State’s Paid Sick Leave Law
