ABOUT EAST END PREP
East End Prep, located in the heart of East Nashville, is empowering Kindergarten - 8th grade scholars with the foundation necessary to excel in high school and college completion. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Planning & Instruction
- Prepare, internalize, and deliver a rigorous, standards-aligned scripted curriculum
- Use scholar work and assessment data to inform instruction and target intervention
- Engage in coaching meetings to deepen content expertise and develop instructional mastery

Kindergarten – 3rd Grade : Self-contained with two lead teachers4th Grade : 2 ELA co-teachers, 2 Math co-teachers, 1 Science teacher, 1 Social Studies teacher5th – 8th Grade : 2 ELA teachers, 2 Math teachers, 1 Science teacher, 1 Social Studies teacherFamily Engagement
Provide families with guidance and resources around helping their scholar with their schoolwork at homeServe as the main point of contact for families to communicate scholar academic progress and other school informationTrack and input daily student behavior feedback to share with familiesSchool Based Responsibilities
Uphold East End Prep’s core values at all timesOwn arrival duty, recess or lunch duty (as assigned), and dismissal dutyAttend parent-teacher conferences, Kick Off Night, and other school-wide eventsEngage in ongoing professional development programming, including summer training and PD sessions throughout the yearCERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates applying for a lead teaching role must have an active Tennessee teaching licenseCandidates without a teaching license can serve as Instructional Support during the current school year and must be willing to pursue teacher licensure starting the 2026-2027 school year.QUALIFICATIONS
