We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in an assisted living and nursing home environment. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. This role is essential in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious meals that cater to their dietary needs while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, and food storage spaces.
- Perform bussing duties, including clearing tables and resetting them for the next meal service.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery and address any resident concerns regarding their meals.
- Support dietary staff in implementing special diets as needed for residents with specific health requirements.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of dietetics and food service best practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or assisted living environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
