Perform all patient exams with the highest degree of skill, fully utilizing all radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment and protocol to consistently obtain images which demonstrate diagnostic levels of radiographic density, contrast, and resolution. You will respond to on-demand requests for service in a timely manner.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Operates radiographic and fluoroscopic fixed equipmentOperates radiographic and fluoroscopic mobile equipmentProduces the expected levels of production (volume) at reasonable speeds and on scheduleRepeat rate at 6% or belowProperly utilizes all radiation protection / shielding procedures for patients and staffProperly attends to the physical safety of patients and staffAssures all areas are clean and orderly and supplies are maintained for all exams and proceduresProvides all services to patients and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerUtilizes departmental and hospital information systems as necessary for patient careChecks PACs after completing each examPrints films / CDs when requestedAdheres to sterile procedures in the ORExercises initiative and actively participates in the reception area, film library, and transport functionsImproves performance through education. Maintains required continuing education creditsProvides patient care appropriately to the following age groups :Neonate - Birth to 1 monthInfant - 1 month to 1 yearEarly Childhood - 1 year to 5 yearsLate Childhood - 8 years to 12 yearsAdolescence - 13 years to 17 yearsYoung Adult - 18 years to 25 yearsAdult - 26 years to 54 yearsSr. Adult - 55 years to 64 yearsGeriatric - 64 years Evaluates for age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms of the above identified patientsRecognizes patients' psychological development and modifies approaches for the above identified patientsRecognizes potential lifestyle changes resulting from illness that will interfere with the discharge plan. Develops plan accordinglyIdentifies increased physical / emotional dependency needs. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :Equal to the completion of a two-year AMA approved Radiologic Technology program in a Joint Commission approved facilityMust possess a current, unencumbered license to practice in this stateMust possess registration by the ARRT in radiologyMust be CPR / BLS certifiedEXPERIENCE :Minimum 1 year experience as Radiologic TechnologistExperience with both fluoroscopy and C-ARM proceduresMartha’s Vineyard Hospital and Windemere Nursing & Rehabilitation Center are Equal Opportunity Employers.
