What are the responsibilities and job description for the Multiple Educational Support Professionals for Extended School Year position at Martha's Vineyard Public Schools?
SAILS (Summer Academic Intensive Learning Skills): This program is designed for students with significant disabilities.
Most students participate during the school year in the Shared Services Programs (Project Headway, Bridge, or Compass). Only a few students participate who are placed during the school year in their home district school programming. SAILS is designed to meet the goals of the students' IEPs through small group or individual instruction. Related Therapies (i.e. OT, SP/L, PT, etc.) will be determined individually and are primarily provided through a consultative model, small group and/or team-teaching, unless otherwise required. Services are provided within the program schedule.
Looking for multiple enthusiastic applicants to assist special education teacher in providing support and instruction to students
in the Extended School Year Program to be located at the Oak Bluffs School.
All grades and ability levels are represented
Work Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:45am-1:15pm
Program run, dates: Monday, July 7- Wednesday August 13, 2025
Set-up day/ staff orientation is Monday, July 7, 2025
College Degree: $30.00/hr or minimum 4 continuous years of employment in the MVYPS schools as an Educational Assistant (ESP)
Candidates with a high school degree: $25.00/hr
Bonus at end of summer program for good attendance up to $250.00 is available
Salary : $25 - $30
