The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for effectively and efficiently processing material for storage and distribution through means such as, picking and issuing material to production, receiving material to stock, and physical inventory counts.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurately pulling parts, components, and raw material from stock for production work orders.
- Performs computer transactions based on warehouse activity and initiates proper documentation to satisfy production requirements.
- Communicates with Inventory Control Analyst and performs daily physical inventory cycle counts as required in absence of Inventory Control Clerk.
- Responsible for stocking parts into inventory from production work orders or supplier shipments.
- Fully capable of handling any material needs, solving material problems and inventory control issues as they arise.
- Adheres to applicable Martin Baker America operating procedures and work instructions at all times.
- Follow instructions of duty assignments
Experience/Education
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of two years of experience in Warehousing, Inventory Control, and Material Handling
- Strong computer skills
- ERP or MRP system experience preferred
Strong computer skills are essential, and experience with ERP or MRP systems is preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to accurately communicate information to and from Department Supervisors, Department Leads, and production line employees, and respond quickly and accurately to requests for information and Inventory Control reports from the company's MRP system. Additionally, the ability to safely operate a WAV (Work Assist Vehicle), make complete and accurate entries into preformatted screens, set up and use scales to derive accurate part counts, perform general math calculations, and possess basic computer skills are required.
