The 3D BIM Modeler will play a pivotal role in our project delivery process, responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining 3D Building Information Models (BIM) for our commercial concrete construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BIM modeling and concrete construction, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requires collaboration with project teams to ensure that models are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with project specifications and standards. As a 3D BIM Modeler, you will play a crucial role in creating and managing detailed 3D models that will guide our construction projects from conception through to completion. This is a full-time position that reports to the Kennesaw office. Periodic travel to project sites will be required.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update 3D BIM models for concrete construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Create and manage detailed concrete formwork, reinforcement, and placement models, including integrating structural and architectural elements.
- Prepare and maintain BIM documentation, including drawings, schedules, and reports.
- Assist in the development of BIM execution plans and modeling standards for each project.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, material suppliers, and other construction professionals to integrate and coordinate project information within the BIM environment.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve any conflicts/discrepancies between various building systems and components.
- Utilize BIM software (Tekla, SketchUp, Trimble Connect, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) to enhance project visualization, analysis, and planning.
- Provide technical support and training to project team members on BIM-related processes and tools.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, industry best practices, and project requirements.
- Assist with pre-construction and business development by creating visual content of how we plan to build the project.
- Assist with other technology and 3D BIM modeling services as assigned
- Stay current with the latest BIM technologies, tools, and best practices, and recommend and implement improvements to enhance modeling processes.

Minimum Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a BIM Modeler in the concrete construction industry or a similar field.
- Prospective applicants must be able to read blueprints and other construction documents
- Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to exert 25-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move equipment and other objects
- Current driver's license; clean driving record
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Proficiency in BIM software (Tekla, SketchUp, Trimble Connect, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) and an understanding of related technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in BIM or related software.
- Experience with 4D/5D BIM modeling (scheduling and cost management).
- Familiarity with advanced BIM tools and technologies such as point cloud data integration.
