History
Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20 and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital.
Summary of Responsibilities
The Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing department staff, maintaining records, managing staff scheduling and training, and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This role includes supervising the cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting of all areas within the clinics, Home Health, and EMS, and the main hospital.
The EVS Supervisor ensures that all Martin County Hospital District facilities are maintained in a clean and safe condition for patients, employees, guests, and visitors. This position requires compliance with all standards set forth by MCHD and CMS. Additionally, the EVS Supervisor is expected to uphold a high level of customer service by adhering to AIDET principles. The quality of work performed by EVS Workers and EVS Floor Technicians will be continuously reviewed and monitored to maintain excellence in environmental services.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or GED. In lieu of degree, trade school / additional work experience is acceptable.
Qualifications
- Familiar with precautions in handling cleaning chemicals.
- 1-3 years of housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Hospital experience is preferred.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Personal vehicle is required.
