Purpose & Description
The Apprentice Boat Captain is a member of the lake crew who is responsible for working with a small, 2–3-person team to install or repair boat docks and / or accessories. The installs or repairs could include repairing or installing decking, steel and aluminum frames, metal roofing, boat lifts, or floats as well as moving docks in or out of the water. The work is accomplished by using a modified pontoon boat to travel across lakes, rivers, etc. to access the boat dock. Quality dock service is completed while growing in skill and professionalism, in a positive team environment. The Apprentice is a semi-advanced skill position and in training to transition to a Journeyman-Boat Captain. Apprentice works with assigned Boat Captain but directly reports to the Service Manager.

- Moderate knowledge in 1 and basic knowledge in all other Service areas below (See Service Area Skill Summary) :
