The CNC Set-up Operator operates tooling machines and produces high-quality parts and products for Martin Engineering's customers within very tight specifications and with minimal tolerance for error. This position interprets blueprints and drawings to produce various products.
Responsibilities Include:
- Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, and bills of materials to produce the required parts.
- Conducts setup of tooling, downloads programs, and produces parts according to ISO 9001 standards.
- Maintains necessary inventory of supplies, drills, inserts, tooling, etc.
- Inspects machines for proper maintenance and needed repairs and submits maintenance requests as required.
- Initiates procedures that comply with OSHA/MSHA requirements regarding safety issues.
Education, Experience & Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One or more years of CNC machining experience
- Experience with blueprint reading and precision instruments.
