We currently serve over 30,000 customers in Alabama, Georgia and Florida, providing dumpsters for commercial, residential, industrial and roll off customers, as well as portable toilet solutions.
We are recruiting for an Operations Manager to lead our team in Dothan, AL. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing collections activities, container delivery and pickup for commercial, industrial and residential customers, while managing a large team of dispatchers, drivers, and other workers who are responsible for managing the route system as well as executing a local market strategy to best "Set the Standard in Service."

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Form and maintain strong relationships with relevant community, environmental, and government groups to develop valuable business partnerships.
- Develop a productive workplace culture to effectively manage performance and talent development and create an environment for potential growth and of best practices.
- Oversee personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
- Lead operations to ensure compliance with all standards including environmental, operating, regulatory, safety, accounting and ethics.
- Oversee effective safety and accident prevention programs to ensure all actions are taken to prevent injury and that there is a productive work environment for all employees.
- Adhere to operating standards and manages labor hours to ensure maximum productivity and route management systems for commercial, roll-off and residential routes.
- Implement and execute plans to complement the business unit’s strategic and operating plan within the business unit to maximize customer experience, growth and durability, while optimizing profitability.
- Manage and provide leadership to team members by effectively communicating, establishing clear goals and objectives, coaching team members on achieving goals, and ensuring access to training and development opportunities that assist employees in attaining the necessary skills to achieve team and corporate results.
- Participate in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and perform any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
- Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and employee safety.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of supervisory or management experience in solid waste disposal and recycling operations or a related industry.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
- Dedicated to safety.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of current office technology.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or G Suite.
- Ability to hire, train, motivate, and supervise exceptional employees.

- Ability to function independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
