This roll will be one of leadership within the department as well on the floor. The human resources department is the face of our company. HR team members are often the first and last people in which employees, visitors and community partners interact. As a result, HR team members must embody the ideals and principles that drive Martin Interconnect Services. This is an entry level human resources position, experience and education is a plus but not mandatory. Salary is dependent on experience and education.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the Human Resources Team, you will be responsible for knowing, understanding, following, and enforcing all aspects of corporate policy. Please note: the individual works within a team and will not be solely responsible for all the following but must be competent and capable of performing all the following tasks.
Primary job duties of this position:
Recruiting
Interviewing
Hiring new employees
New hire training and orientation
Staffing of personnel per department
Assisting with on-the-job-training documentation collection and records
The following tasks and responsibilities are secondary to the primary tasks, however, there may be times the candidate is responsible for assisting with or carrying out these tasks.
Handle disciplinary actions and termination of employees
Payroll preparation using a third-party payroll company
Personnel conflict resolution
Manage daily attendance and accrued employee points; in addition to time off requests and communication with all production stakeholders. Must ensure approved time off will not adversely affect the department or company.
Managing state unemployment claims
Benefits management
Filing wage garnishments and other periodic deductions for payroll.
Maintenance of personnel files
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
