JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Biology Teacher
Job Classification: 10-month employee
Reports to: Principal
Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher to join Martin Luther High School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biological sciences and a commitment to inspiring students to explore the wonders of biology. We are looking for teachers with knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques, knowledge of creating and implementing innovative lesson plans, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, and have strong classroom management skills.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Expertise in presenting to small and large audiences
- Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and families
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work productively both as a member of a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail
Essential Job Requirements:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
- Teach biology courses to high school students, including general biology and elective courses.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
