POSITION SUMMARY
The Research Coordinator will play a crucial role in the Health Equity Guaranteed Income Pilot, a research study conducted by the Los Angeles Section of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW|LA) in partnership with MLK Community Healthcare (MLKCH) and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The pilot aims to assess the impact of guaranteed income (GI) as an intervention for women with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes who are experiencing chronic health conditions. The pilot is over a 12-month period. The Research Coordinator will facilitate the smooth execution of the study, ensuring compliance with the terms outlined in the Sponsored Research Agreement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Study Coordination :
Collaborate with NCJW|LA, MLKCH, and Cedars Sinai Medical Center to coordinate study activities.
Monitor the use of research funds allocated to MLKCH for the study.
Ensure compliance with the Research Partner's Scope of Work.
Regularly update stakeholders on study progress, challenges, and milestones.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A. Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., public health, social sciences, or related disciplines).
B. Qualifications / Experience
1-3 years of previous study coordination or clinical research coordination experience, preferably in health equity or community-based research.
Experience in healthcare, with a proven track record in health equity initiatives.
C. Special Skills / Knowledge
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with IRB processes and ethical considerations in research.
