The Clinical Staff Nurse plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit.
Job Summary:
The Clinical Staff Nurse is a skilled and experienced professional Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for excellence in the clinical practice of nursing and the management of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs, organize care plans, and maintain therapeutic relationships while adhering to hospital core values and mission.
- Demonstrate use of nursing process as a problem-solving model; utilize knowledge and experience to anticipate and plan to meet patient and family needs.
- Recognize subtle changes in clinical situation; evaluate and appropriately alter the plan of care.
- Prioritize and organize patient care, ensuring follow-through with planned care.
- Develop and maintain a therapeutic nurse/patient relationship throughout the health care continuum.
- Communicate effectively using SBAR in all hand-off situations.
- Perform documentation of patient care, including assessment, interdisciplinary plan of care, implementation, evaluation, and Watson Model of Care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor in Nursing degree preferred.
- Associate in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
- Basic EKG Competence.
- Current California Nursing license.
- Certification in Progressive Critical Care Nursing preferred.
