Job Summary
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direction to hospital personnel on duty. This includes a 12-hour shift accountability for the clinical practice of Nursing and patient care delivery throughout the hospital.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff and evaluate the delivery of patient care and clinical practice
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards
- Improve quality, service levels, safety, and customer satisfaction
- Be a role model for patient satisfaction and resource person for Hospital Policies & Procedures
- Operationalize human resource policies and oversee agency employees
- Participate in Quality and Performance Improvement Plans and monitor patient care delivery
- Organize work flow, solve problems, and motivate employees
- Collaborate with Care Management and Medical Staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Sciences degree in nursing (or BSN completion within 5 years)
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Maintain Current California Nursing license and basic computer skills
- Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
