Job Title: Clinical Staff Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at {company}.

Summary

12 hour shifts account for organizing, planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient/family centered care based on the Watson Model of Care for a defined group of patients.

Responsibilities

• Identify and demonstrate abilities to meet special needs and considerations of Age and Population Specific awareness.
• Evaluate and appropriately alter the plan of care.
• Prioritize and organize patient care and ensure follow through with planned care.
• Develop and maintain a therapeutic nurse/patient relationship throughout the health care continuum.
• Document patient care including assessment, interdisciplinary plan of care, implementation, evaluation, and the Watson Model of Care.
• Work with Care Managers during the patient's stay and coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning.
• Contact physicians promptly with significant changes in patient condition.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and document outcomes.
• Plan, supervise, instruct, and evaluate ancillary nursing personnel, floats, orientees, and registry staff.

Requirements

• Current California Nursing license.
• Bachelor of Sciences degree preferred.
• Associate in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
• Minimum of one year months of Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing experience preferred.
• Certification in Progressive Critical Care Nursing preferred.
• Certification in Medical / Surgical Nursing preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish).
• Basic computer skills.
• Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an Intensive Care Unit environment.
