Job Title: Clinical Staff Nurse
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at {company}.
Summary
12 hour shifts account for organizing, planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient/family centered care based on the Watson Model of Care for a defined group of patients.
Responsibilities
- Identify and demonstrate abilities to meet special needs and considerations of Age and Population Specific awareness.
- Evaluate and appropriately alter the plan of care.
- Prioritize and organize patient care and ensure follow through with planned care.
- Develop and maintain a therapeutic nurse/patient relationship throughout the health care continuum.
- Document patient care including assessment, interdisciplinary plan of care, implementation, evaluation, and the Watson Model of Care.
- Work with Care Managers during the patient's stay and coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning.
- Contact physicians promptly with significant changes in patient condition.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and document outcomes.
- Plan, supervise, instruct, and evaluate ancillary nursing personnel, floats, orientees, and registry staff.
Requirements
- Current California Nursing license.
- Bachelor of Sciences degree preferred.
- Associate in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
- Minimum of one year months of Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing experience preferred.
- Certification in Progressive Critical Care Nursing preferred.
- Certification in Medical / Surgical Nursing preferred.
- Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish).
- Basic computer skills.
- Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an Intensive Care Unit environment.
