Note : This position is under the operating Engineers union. Applicant will be required to join IUOE Local 9
Position Summary
The operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment to distribute, break down, compress and give a finished surface to cooling asphalt.
Responsibilities
- Capable of finishing bases to acceptable tolerances either through blue tops or GPS positioning.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment, report defects and repairs to maintenance department.
- Demonstrate an understanding of grades and interpret roadway plans and drawings.
- Align machines with reference stakes and guidelines or ground or position equipment, following hand signals of other workers.
- Operates other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.

Salary Posting :
We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $36 . Membership with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union No, 9 is required upon hire. Condition and terms of employment and benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
