Part Time - Heavy Equipment Operator

Description

Martin Marietta is currently hiring for a Part-time Heavy Equipment Operator for our Fort. Calhoun mine location. This role will be responsible for performing and maintaining utility work and heavy equipment operation at our mine site.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to or willing to learn to operate safely all mobile equipment, including: haul truck, motor grader, water truck, loader and crane.
• Assist in plant repairs and clean-up.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspection on equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment. Report needed repairs to shop personnel.
• Responsible for good housekeeping of equipment.
• Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations.
• Perform duties with minimum supervision.
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in aggregate plant maintenance, labor and operating heavy, off road construction equipment is preferred
• Must be able to work extended shifts and weekends
• Bi-lingual is a plus
