The weighmaster role involves weighing and ticketing customer trucks in a fast-paced aggregates facility. Key responsibilities include:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Weighing and ticketing customer trucks
- Collaborating with the sales department and dispatch team
- Understanding customers' needs and requirements
- Answering incoming telephone calls
- Cash sales documentation, verification, and accurate check filling
- Researching problem tickets and documenting findings
- Communicating customer needs and complaints with relevant personnel
- Maintaining files for trucker's insurance, tax-exempt certificates, and overload permits
- Assisting the administrator and manager as required
- Other duties assigned
- Proactive safety focus and teamwork environment
- Ability to meet customers and project a friendly, cooperative, and positive attitude
- Customer service background and focus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer knowledge/skills, Excel, and Outlook
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of legal weights and measures helpful
- Competent operating normal office equipment
- Flexible schedule, including weekends
- Ability to sit at a computer for approximately 10 hours a day
- Ability to bend, stand, and crouch to handle files and related paperwork
