Martin / Martin, Inc. is looking for a structural Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Structural Engineering Group in our Northern California office. This engineer will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of project types with many different structural materials. This position will provide opportunities to gain experience in both new building structural design and existing building investigations and retrofits.

Our investigative engineers can provide support for existing projects, both buildings and sites, to design and implement repairs, renovations, or improvements. With nine office locations and a staff of more than 370, Martin / Martin engineers regularly perform work throughout Colorado, across the United States, and internationally.
A typical work week can include engineering calculations, drawing development, Construction Administration tasks, and site visits. This position allows for interactions with owners, architects, and contractors early in your career as you build relationships throughout the project life cycle. While many of our projects are located in California, Martin / Martin's national footprint provides opportunities to work on projects around the country.

Examples Of Responsibilities
- Utilize computer design and graphics software to complete project Construction Documents.
- Study and apply building code, material code and / or jurisdictional requirements to complete project design calculations under the supervision of the Project Manager.
- Assist Project Manager in Construction Administration, including checking of submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting field observations.
- Communicate and coordinate project design with clients, other team consultants, and contractors.
