Martin/Martin, Inc. is searching for outstanding engineering students to join our Structural Engineering Group as Interns at our Kansas City, Missouri office. This opportunity will focus mainly on new building structural design, but interns may also have the chance to gain experience in technical research, renovation of existing buildings, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Our skilled structural engineering teams provide custom solutions for new constructions and expansions, with a strong record in notable projects like Coors Field. Our civil engineering teams focus on site and infrastructure design, currently leading projects such as the 16th Street Mall redesign in Denver. Lastly, our investigative engineers are pivotal in supporting ongoing projects by planning and implementing repairs, renovations, and improvements for buildings and sites. With nine office locations and a staff of 370, Martin/Martin engineers regularly perform work across the United States and internationally.
During a typical work week, interns work on engineering calculations, developing drawings, visiting sites, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and supporting internal technical projects. Our projects are mainly located in the Kansas City area, but we also extend our support to clients around the nation.

The selected candidate should be willing to learn, work as part of a team, and provide high-quality designs for our clients.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Eager to learn
- High school diploma
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Civil or Architectural Engineering, having completed at least a junior-level program
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Structural engineering-specific experience
- Structural engineering coursework
- Completed Bachelor’s degree
