Martin/Martin is looking for an experienced civil senior project engineer to join our Lakewood, CO office. The position will provide opportunities for civil design throughout the Front Range of Colorado as well as nationally. A successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong technical, project management, and client communication skills. We are a client-focused and employee-centered firm.

EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in master planning and conceptual design.
- Assist in fee determination and proposal preparation.
- Assist with monitoring design budgets and project schedules.
- Serve as point-of-contact with Clients, Contractors and other design disciplines.
- Manage multiple engineering projects from start of design through completion of construction.
- Manage and mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians.
- Utilizes AutoCAD/Civil3D to design, detail, and coordinate medium to large size projects within time allotments and within project budgets.
- Attend project meetings during design and construction.
- Provide quality-control check of work produced.
- Provide project construction administration support including shop drawing review, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), and field observations.
- Monitor project budgets and reviews and/or approves invoicing to clients.
- Participate in collection and account receivable efforts.
- Works overtime, when necessary.
WORKING CONDITIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES
This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:
- Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
- Remain stationary for long periods of time
- Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
- Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
- Identify color
- Read, communicate, and document in English
- Determine and exchange accurate information
- Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Investigative: Position self in atypical environments and small, confined spaces
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Min 7 years experience in site development
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently for extended periods of time
- Strong written, technical, and interpersonal skills
- Committed to client services and a team-based approach
- Attention to detail, delivering quality work products, and excellent client services
- Ability to work with a wide variety of clients, regulators, and authorities
- Proven marketing/business development skills
- Has a PE license in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain one within three months
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using AutoCAD/Civil3D to produce civil construction documents
- Strong knowledge of working with municipal, commercial, and other related site development projects
