What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Media Planner position at Martin Retail Group?
Martin Retail Group isn’t your typical “ad agency.” We arelocalretail marketing specialists who areresponsible for planning and buying media for brands like Cadillac, GMC, Buick, and Chevrolet. In fact, we are one of thelargest spot buying agencies in the country. Founded in 1977 in Birmingham, Alabama, we more have more than 350 team members across the United States. MRG is also partners with Leo Burnett Detroit and a member of the Publicis Worldwide global network.
Responsibilities:
- Develop integrated media plans for our Tier 2 automotive clients
- Facilitate the presentation and execution of media plans and manage revisions
- Ensure media plan aligns with national/regional agency
- Analyze media alternatives and make recommendations based on current strategic direction
- Provide agency point of view on new media opportunities
- Work closely with planning supervisor and account manager
- Assist in training/mentoring of assistants and planners
- Assist planning supervisor on department wide projects

Qualifications:
- Seven years of relevant experience
- Experience with media math basics, concepts and planning software
- Outstanding written/verbal communication and organizational skills
- Experience using syndicated research tools such as Scarborough, Nielsen, SQAD, as well as Reach/Frequency
- Skilled in the use of Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to make presentations or interested in learning and honing these skills
Compensation Range: $70,000 - $117,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
