Position Summary
Looking for a great summer internship experience? Here's your chance to gain valuable work experience with a leading health care provider!
This internship will begin on 5 / 27 / 25 and the duration of the internship program is 12 weeks. Please note that this is a hybrid position; some work will be done in our Portland offices and some remotely. Interns must live in Maine throughout the 12-week program. The pay rate is $20 / hr.
Job Description
We are looking for someone excited to learn more about Supply Chain and bring their experiences and knowledge to our team. Our team manages vendor relationships through open communication and shared accountability. We support our internal customers by negotiating contracts, purchasing goods and services, and managing inventory.
Over the course of the summer, this position will receive exposure to all areas of Supply Chain, which will require interactions across Martin's Point.
- Using job shadowing and standard work, learn the functions of Supply Chain at MPHC
- Assist in Supply Chain implementation of new ERP system by reviewing / loading contracts
- Work on creating Standard Work for new ERP system
- Assist with notifying vendors of MPHC new tax exempt status
- Works closely with customers to clarify order requirements and create purchase orders within approved purchasing systems
