This role will be integral in maintaining efficient workflows through the sorting, handling, and overall organization of inventory and materials used in the production of automotive wire harnesses.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Handling & Organization
- Sort, label, and store parts, components, and materials
- Maintain accurate counts of inventory and report discrepancies promptly
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and tracking incoming materials and supplies
- Assist in preparing and organizing materials needed for wire harness assembly
- Transfer parts and components to various workstations as needed
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, orderly, and free of debris
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Operate basic equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) to move parts efficiently and safely
- Conduct visual inspections of materials and components for any defects or damage
- Report any quality or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor
- Support general housekeeping efforts to maintain a safe work environment
- Perform minor preventative maintenance or alert appropriate personnel to equipment issues
- Assist with organizing tools and supplies as directed
- Follow safety protocols, wear required PPE, and adhere to company health and safety guidelines
- Properly dispose of waste and hazardous materials per approved procedures
- Complete any additional tasks required to support production and maintain operational efficiency
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in general labor, manufacturing, or warehouse roles preferred
- Basic understanding of inventory management and manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to lift and move objects (up to 50 lbs.) frequently
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Comfort working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus (but not required)
Work Environment:
- Primarily on the manufacturing/shop floor within the Automotive Wire Harness Department
- May include occasional tasks in other departments or facilities
- Continuous physical exertion, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
