Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize control algorithms for internal combustion engines (ICE) and hybrid systems, aligning with OEM performance, drivability, and durability targets.
- Conduct dyno and vehicle-level calibration for emissions, fuel economy, and compliance with OEM-specific standards.
- Design and validate OBD strategies to meet OEM and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with OEM teams to troubleshoot emissions issues and deliver certification-ready systems.
- Work closely with OEM engineering teams to integrate controls for engines, hybrid systems, and aftertreatment hardware.
- Translate OEM requirements into actionable calibration and validation plans.
Qualifications
- B.S. / M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline
- 7 years in calibration / controls engineering for ICE or hybrid powertrains, including direct OEM program execution and certification support
- CAN/LIN, UDS, and other in-vehicle communication protocols
- Clear, concise communicator comfortable presenting complex data to cross-functional and executive audiences
