What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Administrator position at Martin Transportation Systems?
MTS is a family owned and operated logistics and trucking company that has been delivering results since 1978. We are currently looking to add a Safety Administrator to dedicated team of safety professionals. The Safety Administrator plays a key role in managing day-to-day safety activities. A keen eye for detail and follow through are two skills for success in this position.
What you will do:
Responsibilities you will engage in, include, but are not limited to:
- accident investigation and preservation,
- drug and alcohol program administration and testing,
- MVR monitoring, alerts and database updates
- Training Record Maintenance (e.g. CPR/First Aid)
- Timely claims filing, monitoring and close outs.
- Gathering information, tracking, and monitoring damage reports for MTS and customer equipment
- Analyzing safety data and identifying trends for improvement.
- Develop reports based on safety metrics, accident rates, training participation, etc.
What you bring:
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in Excel
- Must be computer literate
- Have effective written and verbal communication skills
- Detailed oriented
- Trucking/Transportation Experience preferred
- Safety background preferred
