Job Summary: This role reviews customers requirements and prepares/updates production schedule.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum five years of experience/training in manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and inventory management system (CMS)
- Excellent time management, decision making, and problem solving skills
- Must be able to prioritize and work with minimum supervision
- Must have a good knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
- Just in time customer demand
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949
Essential Functions:
- Maintain and update the production schedule
- Communicate schedule to off-shift supervisors, including any additional information they need to be made aware of
- Work with improvement team and tool room to coordinate die trials
- Maintain minimum run standards to ensure productivity.
- Monitor Supplier on-time delivery performance with shipping department.
- Liaise between production and shipping ensure on time delivery
- Input data into Press Hits chart, Pressroom OEE chart, and Pressroom Attainment chart
- Schedule bank builds for die or press maintenance needs
- Review hot-sheet and update schedule, add jobs, or change counts according to production requirements; set priorities for the off-shift according to requirements from hot-sheet
- Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Materials Manager
- Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work Environment:
- 80% Office Environment, 20% Plant Floor (PPE Required)
