What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gymnastics Recreation Coach position at Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks & Recreation?
SUMMARY
Under supervision, you will be responsible for teaching gymnastics skills to children ranging in ages 18mo to 5yrs. Specifically looking for Saturday hours of 8am to 5pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following:
- Preparing lesson plans and executing those plans for your classes.
- Ability to handle high pressure situations such as accidents, class management, minor injuries.
- Maintain the same schedule every week.
- Being on time and dependable
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must be 16 years of age or older; high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
Must have some gymnastics or cheer knowledge or experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to provide good and effective communication; capacity to understand and follow oral and written orders.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to demonstrate basic gymnastics skills.
- Must be able to be on your feet and active for 4 hours at a time.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Requires ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights and/or weekends.
WORK CONDITIONS
Gymnastics facilities are covered, climate-controlled facilities.
Salary : $10 - $16
