Job Summary:
As an Operator at MacroSource, you will play a vital role in the loading of trucks, ensuring the efficient transfer of dry and liquid fertilizers. Your responsibilities will encompass using approved tools and methods, operating front end loaders, skid steers, bulk conveying equipment, and handling general maintenance tasks. Compensation for the Operator position is dependent on experience, reflecting our commitment to fair and competitive pay. The starting pay range is $21 to $22/hour plus overtime pay.
Key Responsibilities:
Load trucks and unloading railcars with dry fertilizer, utilizing approved tools and methods.
Transfer liquid fertilizer, operating pumps, valves, piping, and automation systems.
Perform general equipment maintenance using appropriate tools.
Follow guidelines for ascending and descending ladders on railcars, trucks, towers, and platforms.
Maintain facility and grounds through proper housekeeping methods.
Qualifications/Special Demands/Skills:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in a fertilizer terminal is a plus, but not mandatory.
Wear company-supplied required safety gear: hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe or sturdy leather boots.
Ability to work in confined spaces, deal with heights, follow fall protection guidelines and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to undergo a drug test and background check.
Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 7 am- 4 pm, flexibility to work overtime (some nights and weekends) as required. During planting season (end of April to first week in June), two 12-hour shift options: 5 am to 5 pm or 11 am to 11 pm.
