Job Summary:
As an Operator at MacroSource, you will play a vital role in the loading of trucks and railcars, ensuring the efficient transfer of dry and liquid fertilizers. Your responsibilities will encompass using approved tools and methods, operating front-end loaders, skid steers, bulk conveying equipment, and handling general maintenance tasks. Safety, attention to detail, and adherence to company guidelines are crucial aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Load trucks and railcars with dry fertilizer, utilizing approved tools and methods.
Perform general equipment maintenance using appropriate tools.
Follow guidelines for ascending and descending ladders on railcars, trucks, towers, and platforms.
Maintain facility and grounds through proper housekeeping methods.
Qualifications/Special Demands/Skills:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in a fertilizer terminal is a plus, but not mandatory.
Wear company-supplied required safety gear: hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe or sturdy leather boots.
Ability to work in confined spaces, deal with heights and around water while following respiratory and fall protection guidelines and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for commuting to various work sites.
Willingness to undergo a drug test and background check.
Flexibility to work overtime (some nights and weekends) as required. Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 7am to 5pm.
