Summary
The Tax Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of indirect tax (sales/use, property) for PLM Fleet LLC. Primary responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, GAAP reporting, multi-state and local tax filings, tax related information requests from our partners, Marubeni Corporation and Mizuho (MM Wheel LLC) audit representation, and ad hoc research projects as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Preparation of state and local sales/use tax returns, personal property tax returns, annual reports and other miscellaneous filings (e.g. – business license fees) for PLM Fleet LLC on a timely basis.
Present innovative tax planning ideas, supported by pro forma data, to Senior Management and implement such ideas that receive management approval
Support for income tax audits.
Handle all miscellaneous federal, state and local tax correspondence.
Handle sales and property tax audits.
Other Ad hoc projects and tasks as requested.
Required Competencies
10 years of experience in a corporate indirect tax function, experience in the leasing industry is preferred.
Agile and Adaptive: Must be able to work in a quick paced environment and effectively manage / prioritize multiple tasks or issues.

Experience with Avalara tax software is strongly preferred.
Education / Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree, in Accounting
