ESSENTIAL DUTIES in the Sushi Department (responsibilities include, but are not limited to)
The Delica Department items for Delica products include all Deli, Sushi, and Bakery items.
· Processing, cutting, and wrapping Sushi items
· Maintains a well-organized back stock/cooler area
· Packaging sushi products
· Food Preparation
· Follow recipes and must accurately measure ingredients
· Maintains good communication with store management, associates and suppliers/vendors
· Maintaining cleanliness of the store/ store upkeep
· Ensuring proper presentation of our sushi items along with providing a smile, greeting, and assisting customers who visit our Store.
· Ensures sushi items are handled, stocked, rotated and merchandised
· Checks product temperature to ensure freshness and quality
· Ability to maintain a knife grip in order to cut items to specification
· Ability to weigh, price, label, organize and rotate sushi products per Marukai’ standards
· Unloading deli Items upon vendor deliveries
· Checks product temperature to ensure freshness and quality
· Ensures that all sushi products are in its right place, so shoppers can find what they need quickly and easily
· Operating baler, compactor and scrub machine
· Unpacking and stocking sushi items
· Must clean and sanitize work areas
· Work Environment will be in extreme temperature
Customer Service:
· Providing premier customer service, including greeting them and responding to questions
· Engaging in suggestive selling and other sales techniques
· Meets or exceeds Department’s sales goals assigned through the efficient execution of Company policies and procedures
· Maintains cleanliness of work area, storage area, and selling floor
· Ensures a safe and clean work environment
· Cross Training:
· Store Support Associates exemplify teamwork and are open to and willing to be trained and step in when needed in all departments and similar skilled areas for filling and development opportunities.
